Reporting to the Manager of Hardware and Software Development, this position will manage our products from concept to production. Your toolkit should contain solid history in driving the full lifecycle development process including analog and circuitry design, firmware development in C language, hardware testing of 8- and 32-bit systems, CE testing, and debugging hardware utilizing test equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support hardware digital, analog, and communications protocols
  • Develop and support system-level and driver-level software
  • Create/maintain HW/SW design standards
  • Investigate/troubleshoot hardware failures for service returns and production failures that pass our existing fixtures
  • Create hardware test plans as required
  • Perform hardware analysis and create reports for feedback of hardware issues to new designs
  • Create software/test software as necessary for hardware validation
  • Generate engineering documents, specifications, schematics, BOM, validation reports, etc.
  • Work closely with quality and manufacturing departments
  • Follow established procedures and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in design, analysis, and testing of microcontroller-operated digital and analog electronics
  • Minimum education: BS electrical engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience in a product development role in embedded system design and C+/C++ programming environment
  • Basic experience in PCB design, fabrication, and assembly processes a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of developing embedded software for embedded processors, such as ARM, PIC, Freescale, and Renesas
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Prefer experience in developing for industrial and/or automotive testing equipment
  • Prefer experience with regulating agencies, such as FCC, CE, UL, etc.

National Account Manager — Willowbrook, IL

Reporting to the Director of Automotive Aftermarket Sales, the National Account Manager will specialize in the development and maintenance of high-level, cross-functional relationships within targeted major automotive retailers, service providers, and battery suppliers.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute market segment plans
  • Develop and maintain relationships with retailers, suppliers, and service providers
  • Use the acquired solutions-based sales strategies and internal aftermarket team to identify, prioritize, develop, present, and solidify support for Midtronics battery testing, diagnostic charging, and BMIS solutions

Product Manager — Willowbrook, IL

Reporting to the Manager, Product Line Development, this position is responsible for customers and segments in the specific market and region as defined. As the Product Manager, you will drive the overall product management process over the entire span of product life cycles for customer/segment product lines.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute market segment plans
  • Create and execute strategies for business growth within the market segment
  • Work with account managers and customers to define and successfully execute custom product development projects from start to finish: Customer visits curing the product definition and qualifying stage (with Sales); product definition/opportunity analysis completion, including cost estimates, projected timing and resource needs (with Engineering); and customer liaison to secure approvals and manage the development/project to meet customer expectations (with Account Management)
  • Work with Engineering, Marketing Communications, Sourcing, and Manufacturing to drive successful execution of custom product development projects
  • Provide input to new platform development to help plan and drive continuous growth
  • Execute product life cycle initiatives for customer/segment product lines
  • Execute special projects as defined
  • Provide technical assistance, training and leadership for sales, customer service, and our customers as a subject matter expert for all transportation products
  • Drive process and performance improvements in product development
  • Assist and provide input to all product line initiatives as required
  • Identify quality improvements to all product lines to reduce warranty costs and improve customer satisfaction

Qualifications:

Regional Human Resources Manager — Houten, The Netherlands

The Regional Human Resources Manager manages the administration of all Europe BV human resources policies, procedures, and programs. This individual will support the management team via: recruitment, retention, training, performance management, compensation, global benefits, legal programs, and administration. Must be able to assist International HR Manager to implement corporate policy, drive culture and growth through the BV, and maintain a positive, cooperative culture that promotes retention and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruitment: Responsible for successful recruitment efforts to ensure that Midtronics hires the right talent to achieve our growth objectives. Activities include, but are not limited to: investigate and engage in ongoing proactive recruitment methods, post positions, screen candidates, arrange and conduct interviews, provide and collect feedback, work with the hiring team to provide hiring recommendations, and create offer letters and employee contracts.
  • Retention: Cultivate and maintain a positive culture that promotes employee retention. Create current and accurate job descriptions for current and new positions. Establish and manage an effective orientation process for all new BV employees. Assist in planning and organizing BV Midtronics events.
  • Training: Establish a training and development program; efforts including but not limited to working with management team to establish training needs, researching course contents, providing recommendations when needed, and providing feedback to management.
  • Performance Management: Work with International HR Manager to coordinate annual performance reviews and 360 peer reviews. Work with management team to identify key employees for purposes of succession planning.
  • Compensation: Develop expert knowledge of compensation trends in Europe and work with the International HR Manager, GMs, and CFO to implement best practices for salary adjustments and promotions. Ensure clear information is provided to the management team.
  • Global: Work with the International HR Manager to create and implement HR policies and initiatives. Provide consistent communication to the appropriate Midtronics USA staff related to employee changes.
  • Benefits: Provide support to all employees of an interpretive nature related to policy, compensation, and benefit inquiries.
  • Legal: Maintain current information on pensions and other legislation in the area of labor rights. Maintain highly confidential information for all employees and keep employee files up to date according to legal requirements. Ensure compliance to employment regulatory concerns and reporting in the BV. Establish a safety program and ensure compliance to all safety-related regulatory concerns.
  • Programs: Establish new employee/regional programs as needed, and maintain existing programs.
  • Administration: Administer employee Time Out system for vacation and holiday leave. Provide administrative support for all HR functions and act as a backup for Financial Controller and Administrative Assistant.

Qualifications:

  • Requires a HBO degree, preferably in human resources, business, or psychology
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR experience
  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills
  • Fluent in spoken Dutch and English; proficient in written Dutch and English; additional language skills (German, French, Spanish, Italian) a plus
  • Experience with HR processes and environment required
  • Knowledge of employment laws in various European countries
  • Familiarity with HR software and systems
  • Experience with social media for recruiting purposes a plus
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Software Engineer — Houten, The Netherlands

Reporting to the Engineering Manager – EMEA, Transportation Division, this position will design and develop software for Midtronics battery testing and diagnostic charging lines dedicated to our customer base in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. This position will define and implement new product specifications, as well as enhancements to existing specifications. Working in conjunction with the product management team, the software engineer will provide support to both the sales team and the end customer.   • Design custom software for new products and make improvements to existing products
  • Identify and implement software enhancements to increase efficiencies and portability
  • Develop, enhance and test software to ensure quality levels are met
