 | Software Engineer | | Based out of our European office in the Netherlands.
Reporting to the Transportation Engineering Manager, this position will have responsibility for designing and developing software for Midtronics battery testing and diagnostic charging lines dedicated to our Customer base in the Europe, Middle East and Africa regions. As a software engineer for the transportation segment, you will assist sales, marketing and the customer in defining and implementing new product specifications as well as enhancements to existing specifications. Working in conjunction with the product management team, you will provide support to both the sales team and the end customer. You will have direct interaction with sales leaders, customers and engineers throughout the world. Some domestic and international travel will be required. For the right candidate, this position offers substantial growth.
Required skills:
• Design custom software for new products and make improvements to existing products. • Ability to work independently while ensuring software quality levels and deadlines are met. • Ability to project manage and implement multiple projects in a satellite engineering location. • Ability to work in a global team environment and interact with engineers in several locations around the world. • Willingness to visit corporate headquarters near Chicago 1-2 times a year. • Work with sales, marketing and customers to create and produce product specifications. • Identify and implement enhancements that can be made to the software to increase efficiencies and portability. • Provide technical support to sales, marketing and the customer. • Perform field and customer visits to gather feedback and determine effectiveness of our tools and to keep current on latest technologies. • Demonstrate desire for continuous improvement and advancing quality. • Fluent command of English and Dutch (German is a plus)
Education:
• MTS, HTS Electronica based or equivalent |

 | Experience:
• Extensive experience using embedded C in applications that do not utilize an RTOS • 5+ years embedded software development experience • Experience with cross compilers, linkers and debuggers • Experience with Visual Studio 2008 (C#) and CodeWarrior is a plus

 | Eastern Regional Sales Manager | | We are seeking an Eastern Regional Sales Manager ideally based in Atlanta, South or North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New York, Philadelphia, Boston, or Baltimore/D.C. to manage the Eastern region. The candidates will sell direct to end-user customers and grow sales through a network of distributors and representatives. These positions offers opportunities to grow sales and introduce new products to the market. Sales experience in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply), telecommunications, stationary/industrial batteries and/or power utility market a plus.
Sales Responsibilities : · Help outline & implement plans to achieve territory sales goals · Work with Director of Sales North and South America to implement major account strategies/support · Work with Product Management team on product development needs · Work with marketing department to help outline and implement regional promotional, advertising, trade show and public relations needs and plans · Support all sales & marketing initiatives · Regularly report on the status of activities
Qualifications : · Minimum 3 years of field sales experience · Some sales experience in the telecommunications, power utility, UPS or battery industry · Willingness to travel within assigned region minimum of 50% to 75% · Excellent written and verbal communication skills and technical aptitude · Proficient with MS Word™, Outlook™, Excel™ and PowerPoint™
