 | Willowbrook, IL. – May 22, 2001: Midtronics today announced the shipment of battery analyzers to all DaimlerChrysler dealers in the US and Canada as well as diagnostic chargers to selected DaimlerChrysler groups as part of a battery warranty management program scheduled to begin later this year.
This new program requires the use of the Midtronics’ Micro420 Battery Analyzer in all battery warranty decisions and provides DaimlerChrysler with a management process aimed at improving warranty management and enhancing customer service. DaimlerChrysler’s goal is to ensure that the dealers have the best tools available and that each vehicle reaches the customer with a good fully charged battery.
According to Midtronics President and CEO, Steve McShane, “The DaimlerChrysler order represents a significant milestone for Midtronics and is the culmination of a strong partnership between our two companies.” McShane added, “This program will provide the opportunity for tremendous process and service benefits for both DaimlerChrysler and their dealers.”
Midtronics battery and electrical system analyzers are essential or required tools at most dealer service locations around the world, including General Motors, Ford, Toyota, Nissan, Volvo, Saab, Fiat, Renault with other programs nearing completion. Working together with most major automotive OEMs around the world, Midtronics is recognized as the leader in battery management technology because of its customer driven solutions to battery management problems. From this market penetration, Midtronics’ patented conductance technology has emerged as the new standard for battery diagnosis.
Conductance describes the ability of a battery to conduct current. Using Conductance Technology, Midtronics testers and diagnostic chargers are able to determine the battery’s true state of health and provide an indication of the battery’s remaining life. |
