 | Willowbrook, IL. – October 30, 2001: Midtronics today received a Top 20 Tool Award from Motor Magazine for its new GR-1 Diagnostic Conductance Charger at the annual AAPEX convention in Las Vegas, Nevada. Every year, Motor Magazine recognizes 20 new professional service tools for innovation and improving professional vehicle service.
“Midtronics is proud to accept our fourth Motor Magazine Top 20 Tool Award,” said Steve McShane, president and CEO of Midtronics. McShane added, “The GR-1 represents a revolution in battery charging and will truly change how batteries are charged.”
According to Midtronics, the GR-1 Diagnostic Conductance Charger is targeted for the professional service garage, and combines patented Conductance testing technology with advanced charging capabilities to make battery charging safe, fast, and simple. The GR-1, takes Midtronics' unique technology for monitoring a charge, and puts it in a wheel charger. It charges batteries in under an hour, and in most cases, less than 30 minutes – thereby improving customer service by reducing customer wait time.
Midtronics also has received Top 20 Tool awards from Motor Magazine in 1994 for the PowerSensor Plus Battery Tester, in 1996 for the Micro400 Digital Battery Analyzer, and in 1999 for the PowerLogic Charger/Tester – a joint development project with Johnson Controls. |
