 | Willowbrook, IL. – June 10, 2002: Midtronics today announced the promotion of Ron Ortiz to the position of Vice President and General Manager of the Midtronics group. Ortiz previously served as vice president of operations, and joined Midtronics in 1999 as the director of strategic marketing.
“Ron has assumed significant responsibility and has demonstrated that he is an effective manager and leader,” said Steve McShane, president and CEO of Midtronics. McShane added, “He has structured the organization, increased its global effectiveness, focused our efforts on continuous improvement, and he has made his mark on everything we are doing here, at Midtronics bv, and at Midtronics Canada.”
In his new role, Ortiz takes responsibility for the day-to-day management of Midtronics, including operations, engineering, finance and sales organizations worldwide. Ortiz has worked in the automotive aftermarket for 29 years, previously as president of Sun Electric, and as president of the Aftermarket Tool and Equipment Group of SPX. |
