 | Willowbrook, IL. – July 31, 2002: Midtronics today announces the release of the Mazda Micro 491 Diagnostic Battery Tester. The new Mazda Micro 491 Battery Tester allows technicians to quickly check a customer’s battery and fully supports the Mazda Full Circle Service Initiative. The Mazda Micro 491, developed in partnership with Mazda’s North American Operations, tests Mazda vehicles using both CCA (Cold Cranking Amps) and JIS (Japanese Industry Standard) measurement ratings with the added ability to create a Mazda Warranty Approval Code.

Utilizing Midtronics patented conductance technology, the Mazda Micro 491 will provide Mazda technicians and customers with quick, accurate diagnosis of all battery and charging system related problems in a matter of seconds. The Mazda Micro 491 will be used at all points of service at the Mazda dealership including; vehicle receipt (PDI), prior to delivery to customer, and on customer vehicles experiencing battery related problems. Use of the accompanying printer creates a permanent record of the battery test results for the Full Circle Inspection Report Card and allows for printout of the unique battery code required for all battery warranty replacements. |
