Midtronics Adding Focus, Team to Specialty Markets

Las Vegas, NV - November 4, 2003: Midtronics announced the formation of a new Specialty Markets “Business Unit” within the company at the annual Automotive Aftermarket Products Exhibition. The team will focus on the development and marketing of Midtronics battery and electrical system tools, components and systems in the Heavy Duty Trucking/Commercial Fleet, Military, Marine, Power-Sports/Recreation and Motive Power (golf car, lift truck, utility vehicle) segments.

The team will be led by Michael Cox, who has been named as Director of Sales and Marketing for Specialty Markets by Mark Pasiennik, Vice President of Sales & Marketing for the company. “The specialty markets represent a growing segment where Midtronics’ battery and electrical system technologies can offer benefits to drivers, owners and service managers alike,” said Pasiennik. “Our success in the automotive and stationary power markets and introduction into the specialty markets give Midtronics a strong position on which we can grow”. Cox added, “By offering specialized battery testing and charging equipment along with on-board diagnostic and prognostic systems like inGEN®, onGUARD® and our Battery Power Manager line, we all believe Midtronics can become the key supplier into these markets.”

Midtronics also announced that a Salesperson and Product Manager will be added to this team within 30 days. Midtronics Corporate Marketing, Service and Engineering groups and its global network of distributors will further support the team.
