 | Willowbrook, IL - December 19, 2003: Midtronics has announced the promotion of Ron Ortiz to the post of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer effective today.
Ortiz, who joined the company in 1999, has held various key management positions. “Ron has made significant contributions to the Midtronics organization, each with increasing levels of responsibility, “ said Steve McShane, Midtronics President and Chief Executive Officer. “In his nearly five years with Midtronics he has earned my complete confidence and the respect of our organization, at the same time he has established credibility throughout the industries we serve.”
Ortiz has more than 30 years of automotive aftermarket experience, including tenures as President of Sun Electric and President of the Aftermarket Tool and Equipment Group of SPX. In his new capacity, Ortiz will be responsible for Midtronics global operations, including facilities in Canada, the Netherlands, China and the headquarters in the United States.
