IDR-10 - inGEN Diagnostic Data Recorder
inGEN Diagnostic Data Recorder |
The Phantom Finder | Phantoms. Gremlins. Glitches. Ghosts in the Machine. We all have names for them; those hard-to-find problems that seem to randomly appear, then disappear. The new inGEN Diagnostic Data Recorder from Midtronics will help you locate and identify those elusive electrical system problems once and for all. After installation in your customers vehicle, it becomes a continuous diagnostic monitoring tool that captures and records all electrical system activity, even those mysterious intermittent errors. Then you can analyze the data and quickly locate, diagnose, and correct the problem, thereby eliminating time-consuming guesswork and unhappy customer returns.
Available in North America, Europe/ Middle East/ Africa, Asia/ Pacific, Latin America

Features | |
- Uses a data card read/write drive for storing data.
- Data card also stores trigger data as set-up in the inGEN Diagnostic Analysis Software.
- User defined events for identifying possible faults using Boolean functions (True/False And/OR).
- IDR records continuously in three automatic power modes to conserve battery power and enable long-term logging.
- Gives user the ability to record cranking voltage and current.
- inGEN Diagnostic Analysis software package for data analysis and to perform diagnostics.
- The diagnostic portion of the system consists of the inGEN Diagnostic Analysis software that receives logged data recorded on the data card, and displays the data graphically in a manner that facilitates diagnosis by the technician.
- Graphs are color coded to correspond to the particular channel and match the cable and connection port colors on the IDR housing.
- Use the software to manage the creation of configuration files that denote the operational modes of the Instrument. This allows the user to set-up their test functionality at the PC, then transfer those settings via data card to the IDR before installation.
- Allows the technician to query the data in multiple ways and automatically sort through the data looking for particular events that can be defined by the technician.
- Data can be fully scaled, panned and zoomed for clarity.
- Interprets the binary data stored on the data card and generate readable Excel files.
- Manages the creation and structure of files needed for software and firmware updates.
- Capable of comparing data from a problematic vehicle with data from a known good vehicle.
