Wireless Battery Monitoring System

Midtronics designed the CELLGUARD Wireless Battery Monitoring System to ensure that batteries critical to stationary battery systems will be able to meet power demands at all times. The CELLGUARD SYSTEM provides full conductance, battery temperature, intercell connection integrity, voltage monitoring and more for comprehensive battery and system state of health analysis.

The CELLGUARD SYSTEM combines the latest wireless communications technology with patented, field-proven battery conductance analysis for the most thorough industrial battery health assessment in the stationary battery industry. Years of laboratory and field test data have proven that conductance provides a reliable indication of battery state of health and a correlation to battery capacity. The advantage of using conductance technology is the accuracy and efficiency it offers. Conductance can be used to detect cell defects, sulfation, dryout, shorts, and general degradationthat can cause the battery to fail. In addition, this passive method is safe and non-invasive,eliminating large discharges of energy from the battery. Not a "one size fits all" measurement, extensive research has been conducted to ensure effectiveness on a wide range of stationary power batteries in numerous applications.

CELLGUARD utilizes battery sensors to effectively monitor and analyze battery performance. CELLGUARD's battery monitoring sensors remain attached to the battery during its service life and continuously assess the health and power status of the battery. Combining conductance with measurements of voltage and temperature, they give a continuous record of a battery in service.

The CELLGUARD Wireless Battery Monitoring System is designed for simple expansion and worldwide accessibility. Advanced notification of battery problems are conveniently available via email or text message. Wireless communication architecture ensures proper installation, easy operation, & low maintenance costs. Economical total cost of ownership comes from reduced installation cost, hardware price, and system maintenance.
