The annual FIRST Robotics Competition, a national event that challenges teams of students and their mentors to solve a common problem in a six-week timeframe using a standard "kit of parts", this year will include Midtronics’ battery chargers as a key element of the power supply for each design. The competition includes teams that build robots from the parts and has grown to more than 650 teams competing in 17 Regional Events, and a Championship Event held at Walt Disney World, where more than 20,000 students participate.
Midtronics supplied its Charge Xpress battery chargers to the event at a special discounted price to assist in the support of the competition. Midtronics, long rooted in technological innovation and support for engineering and science-related development programs, is one of several leading US corporations who have participated in the event.
