What do you like most about working at Midtronics?

That we are always trying to improve, in every facet of our business. We are always looking forward!  That’s what good companies do.

What accomplishment at Midtronics are you most proud of?

I feel like I’ve helped support and build on a legacy and culture in our company that is true to our core values of Curiosity, Leadership, Integrity and Partnership.

How do you like to spend your time when you are not at work?

Watching movies, listening to music, cooking foods in my smoker. Playing music while cooking on the smoker and enjoying a couple of beers, it’s really relaxing for me.

Where were you born/raised?

I was born in the city of Chicago but moved to the suburb of Morton Grove when I was 1. (Well, my parents moved, they were thoughtful enough to bring me with). I grew up in Morton Grove.

What is your favorite childhood memory?

I have really fond memories of fishing in an old wooden rowboat with my dad and grandpa.

What are your hobbies?

I love fishing and I am obsessed with fishing for muskies. I mean I have a serious problem around this. It’s an expensive hobby. Musky lures are not cheap, and I always feel like I’m going to miss out if I don’t buy the latest/greatest tackle.

Do you have any pets?

We have had as many as 2 dogs and 2 cats at the same time but right now it’s just us and our 14 year old rescue dog Annie.

Do you like movies?  What kind?  What is/are your favorite(s)?

Love movies of all kind but mostly comedies or sci-fi. I love movies that make me laugh.

Do you like music?  What kind?  What is/are your favorite(s)?

I am all over the map with my musical tastes. Old “Outlaw” Country Music, Rock, Blues, Jazz. Tedeschi Trucks Band is what I am listening to the most these days. Also love music from John Hiatt, Allman Brothers, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Eric Clapton. I could make this a very long list but will spare you the detail.

What is something you think other people would be surprised to know about you?

I guess it might surprise people to see the satisfaction I get from just sitting on the end of our pier with my feet in the water just soaking in the nature that surrounds me. The warmth of the sun on my face. The call of loons or ducks. Just being, is incredibly satisfying to me.
